Our Story

San Leon sits on a thin finger of land jutting into Galveston Bay — a place where shrimp boats tie up at the end of the day, where the sunset hits the water sideways, and where the seafood doesn't get much closer to the boat.

That's where Pacific Seafood came to life. A family-run restaurant on 21st Street, built on a simple idea: serve the Gulf the way it's supposed to be served — fresh, in-house, and made by people who care.

Our owner and head chef, Jorge, grew up around the Gulf seafood trade. He built Pacific Seafood to be the kind of place he'd want to eat at — no pretense, no fancy tricks, just good food at honest prices. Every dish is made in-house. Every plate is built to order. And Jorge still walks the dining room to check on every table, the way he did on day one.

In a town that's quietly stepped up its culinary game, Pacific keeps it simple. The menu runs deep — fresh-shucked Gulf oysters, blackened red fish, shrimp Pontchartrain, snow crab legs, a creamy seafood pasta, a chicken-and-sausage gumbo that turns first-timers into regulars. There's even a cheeseburger with onion strings that'll surprise you. Don't knock it 'til you try it.

There are private rooms for large groups. There's beer and wine at reasonable prices. The restaurant is family-friendly and pet-friendly, and you can pay cash or plastic — whatever's easiest. Come as you are, bring the people you love, and stay a while.
